seamus flannery immigrated from ireland to the united states in the early 1950's. with nothing but the shirt on his back and the hope he'd achieve the american dream, he arrived in new york city just a year before his wife, molly and their first two children. shortly after the family was reunited, the couple made the decision to pack up and head further west, eventually settling down in a rural town outside of philadelphia. there, seamus took up a job as a bricklayer while his wife maintained the house and children. after the last of their five children were born, seamus and molly were content with keeping their hardworking lifestyle to provide for their family. as the children grew up and created lives of their own, seamus and molly were there to watch and nurture their now rather large extended family. tragedy struck in 1992 when molly was diagnosed with breast cancer, losing the battle in 1994. since then, seamus lives in the old rickety family house where he is often visited by his children and grandchildren (though the younger generation claim he's gotten a lot more volatile and rude as the years progressed), holding onto the fact that he created the chaos that is the flannery family, what he would claim is his biggest accomplishment.
this psl focuses on the two middle sons of seamus flannery, their children (with connections), and the everyday events that go on their lives in and around philadelphia. to participate in this psl we ask that you please have a journal and aim screename that relates to your characters name. you adhere to golden rule of roleplaying: no crossing ooc/ic lines. you show activity through an update/thread/aim scene (there will often be family threads put up by this journal) every three weeks. also please have a biography or ten facts visible to this journal before applying. because this is a psl, please discuss all major lines with multiple family members. we do not want to bring too much unrealistic drama to the game with out everyone's consent.
*at this time we are only opening up the two middle sons families. if there is consistent interest and the two families remain full, we will open it up to more of the siblings.
